Spring Cleaning at No Ma'am

Please excuse the mess at this, the finest blog on the web. I have 3 articles that are 75% finished, but all three are giving me writer's block, so I've decided to call in the No Ma'am maid and do some re-arranging of my quote lists and some general heavy-duty spring cleaning.

The Marxist Dialectic's Zig-Zag

Wishing to advance in a room full of people, I do not walk through the aisle and straight toward my goal. They approach their goal by going directly away from it a considerable portion of the time. Lenin wrote the textbook, One Step Forward, Two Steps Back. Chinese Communist schoolchildren are taught to do the dialectical march taking three steps forward and two steps back.
